Are you curious why I put such heading?
Well, I have reason to do that and I think it is my responsibility as a leader to share my thoughts with all of you. We are all PR students and we know what is ethics. We are all smart, and we know what is right and what is wrong even though sometimes we don't care. But this time, WE HAVE TO START TO LEARN HOW TO CARE.
In this entry today, I am not going to talk about our campaign but our responsible as a student and as an active public of UTAR. I think everybody has already know about the 'poison email' regarding Dr. Selva which is attacking on her personal things. In my own opinion, the person who wrote such email is simply a coward! - not just a coward but also someone who ruined our reputation and image as PR students.
This email does damage to Dr. Selva and it's not a simple damage. This "ROTTEN APPLE" had just hurt the feelings of Dr. Selva - someone who is so devoted to teaching; so passionate whenever she shares her knowledge and experience; and most of all someone who is willing to WASTE her time on us because she believes that we will be SOMEBODY tomorrow. WHO ARE WE TO JUDGE HER THAT WAY? Why do I use the word 'WE' here? Because that 'poison email' had just made us part of its 'STUPID CRIME'. That 'ROTTEN APPLE' somehow made it sounds like as if all of us do not like Dr. Selva which is OBVIOUSLY NOT TRUE!
How many here dare to say that Dr. Selva is a bad lecturer?
I can bet NONE would dare to say that because all of us know really well that we DO LEARN ALOT FROM HER. She has her own style of teaching and it's up to US TO ADAPT IT.
And now, we might lose one very good lecturer because of some immature kids. We can do something about this. Let's not keep quiet and simply let the 'evil rotten apple' take over. I believe all of you including me know about 'The Spiral of Silence' theory. Right now, if you keep quiet and do nothing about this matter, we will be witnessing the Spiral of Silence with our own eyes. Don't keep your point of view to yourself. WE ARE NOT THE MINORITY! MAJORITY OF US HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH DR. SELVA. So, voice out your opinion!
If you like Dr. Selva and you believe that her teaching had somehow improves you and let you gain knowledge, TAKE ACTION NOW!
Log in to UTAR PORTAL and go to the students feedback section. Send email to FCI and tell them what you really feel. YOU KNOW WHAT IS RIGHT! Just follow this simple steps. It will only take you one minute.
WE ARE ALL BLUE APPLES, AND WE DO NOT WANT TO BE THE ROTTEN APPLES!
Think about it, and if possible I would like all the 'Blue Apples' to take part in this. Thank you. Please pass this message to everyone. Do something! We have the power and do not misuse it.

actually, although i think (everyone think so) Dr selva is very very strict, but is always for our own good. although we keep saying "...aiya, die in her class..." but, honestly say, who are not enjoy to participate in her class??!
ReplyDeletetake my class as example, we all get scold a lot from her, BUT, we still want her to continue teach us, because, sad to say "WE ARE LIKE LAZY COW, KICK 1 TIME MOVE 1 STEP"! try to imagine, without Dr selva, what we will become....
i will participate in Evaluate Dr selva to try to keep her with us...
not only for our own good, but also dont wan to lose someone who really good to us...

Yes. It's so true. Dr Selva is truly a good lecturer and tutor who teach us with heart and patience. She gained nothing but all the hurting and poisonous words from irresponsible student who can't make an effort to improve themselves.
